At my other house in my last life, (pre-divorce)there were six tall palms in the front yard. The bark of them absolutely amazed me at how it grows. And then I was in the Redwood forests in California once and counting the rings of fallen trees back to 300 hundred years ago? So interesting.
These are lovely..so enchanting really! Very similar to some of the places here..not just the palms. Your right side column as well (below you and Sandra). I love the silent bark and the 5th one down is so cool!

Great blog, glad to see you posting. Bark on trees is very interesting,especially after woodpeckers finish with the tree.
